Mission
II Corinthians 4:6-7 - "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."
Purpose:
"Cross Impact exists to disciple college and young professional believers to glorify God through a vibrant relationship with Christ by daily focusing on Him."
I. Our Goal: To Glorify God (Col. 1:16; Is. 43:7; Rom. 11:36; Rev. 4:11; Eph. 1:3-14; I Pet. 2:9; II Cor. 5:9; I Cor. 10:31; Rom. 15:5-6; Eph. 3:20-21; John 3:30)
"The goal in life is to please God."
II. Our Objective: To Cultivate a Relationship with Christ (Eph. 4:1; 5:1-2; II Cor. 4:6-7) - to think and act like Jesus Christ
III. Our Focus: To Apply Biblical Principles to our lives (Heb. 4:14-16; II Tim. 3:16-17; Heb. 4:12; James 1:19-23; 2:14, 17-18; Col. 3:1-4) - focusing on Christ and what He did for us
"If you are risen with Christ (saved), set your focus on Christ."
"If we are focused on Christ, we are walking with Him (thinking and acting like Christ)."
"If we are walking with Him, we are glorifying (pleasing) God."
"The goal in life is to please God."
II. Our Objective: To Cultivate a Relationship with Christ (Eph. 4:1; 5:1-2; II Cor. 4:6-7) - to think and act like Jesus Christ
III. Our Focus: To Apply Biblical Principles to our lives (Heb. 4:14-16; II Tim. 3:16-17; Heb. 4:12; James 1:19-23; 2:14, 17-18; Col. 3:1-4) - focusing on Christ and what He did for us
